    Interesting. The underlying philosophies presented here DO apply to writing and editing. Writers who empty their notebooks into articles do their readers a disservice. Writers, and editors, need to cull severely so that the information presented is vital, crisp and easily readable. Emptying your notebook is not writing, it’s stenography.
