Choosing the right font is an important part of typography, otherwise it won’t look right. This video does a good job of explaining this.
For project 5 Kerned Interventions we dealt with this subject matter. It can be very tedious when you have a lot of words to work with.
This lesson deals with using a graphic tablet to design letters in adobe illustrator. In class we used the grid as modules for our letters. This subject reminds me of project 4 constrained systems, because of the grid.
This lesson reminded me of learning the anatomy of the letters we worked on in class. Page 36 and 37 in Ellen Lupton’s Thinking with Type book covers the anatomy and the x, cap, ascender and descender height. It also talks about where the baseline is located.
