Tyson Foods, Inc. 2016 Research & Development Internship Program
Tyson Foods would like to announce that it is accepting applications for its R&D Summer Internship
program. The program has 8 positions available, open to current year Juniors and Seniors as well as
Graduate students majoring in Food Science, Meat Science, Animal Science / Poultry Science (with a meat
focus), and Grain / Bakery Science as well as 1 internship for Food Processing, Chemical, or Mechanical
Engineers (Downers Grove, IL)
Internships will be located in either Springdale, AR or Downers Grove, IL
Travel expenses (both ways) paid, furnished apartment provided and competitive hourly wages
(wages are based on the upcoming year in school).
Interns will be given a summer long project where the intern will perform required research /
development work and will present their findings to the R&D department at end of the summer.
Experience the R&D process with extensive work in bench top and pilot plant testing, product
cuttings, sensory and focus group research and touring production facilities.
Paid attendance to the Reciprocal Meats Conference during the summer.

Packaging Specialists, Process Engineers, and Sensory Specialists. This includes 22 former interns
for Tyson Foods
52 Certified Culinary Scientists in the department (25% of CCS’s in the country) and 3 Certified Research Chefs
Second Largest Food Manufacturer in the Fortune 500 with 128 facilities.
