University Prep Schools – Teaching positions

There are several middle school and high school teaching positions within the University Prep Schools district for the 2018-19 school year including middle school and high school math, middle school science and social studies, high school chemistry and physics.

Here are some details of what is offered to full-time teaching positions:

Medical Coverage:

We have coverage available to fit your needs. Choose from three comprehensive plans and share the cost with U Prep Schools. We also provide employees free access to Teladoc, an online service that connects you to a national network of U.S. board-certified physicians who can resolve many medical issues via phone or online video consultation.

Additional Insurance Plans:

We know more coverage is always better — that is why we also include Dental, Vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity and pet insurance for your furry friends to any plan at your request.

Flexible Spending Accounts:

We provide employees access to flexible spending accounts to put aside tax-free dollars for health and dependent care expenses.

Additional Life Insurance:

Supplemental life insurance policies can be added on to your U Prep Schools provided life insurance.

Retirement Savings Plan 401(k):

With 100% contribution match of 6% up to $6,000 per year after one year of service. All employer contributions are fully vested after 3 years of service.

Eight Sick and Four Personal Days:

We understand– life happens and we provide each employee with 8 sick days and 4 personal days.  Unused sick days carry over to the next year and an attendance bonus is awarded for those who have not used more than four sick and personal days combined in a given year.

Career Development:

We provide robust career development through intentional Professional Development, ongoing coaching, and feedback,  and support through Grand Valley State University.  GVSU supports our teachers continuing their education by providing a  50% scholarship in the Master of Education and Education Specialist programs for up to 12 credits per academic year.
