Mercy High School in Farmington Hills has need for a a highly qualified math teacher holding a current EX Michigan certification. Courses may include Algebra II and Geometry with the ideal candidate having the ability to teach various levels of math for grades 9-12.
Applying candidates should be able to demonstrate instructional practices that engage students and promote reasoning, problem solving and sense-making of new mathematical ideas.
Mercy is an Apple Distinguished school, and the preferred candidate will have the ability to support lessons through effective use of technology tools.
All teachers in the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit shall be certified and /or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan. All teachers are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach.
The selected candidate must hold an EX Math Certification, attend a Protecting God’s Children workshop, and complete a background check with fingerprints.
