Non-profit educational center in West Bloomfield announces a staff opening for an on-call Computer Instructor.

Bachelor’s Degree in instructional technology, education, or related field preferred.
Two to three years related computer training experience.
Expert level of proficiency in both MAC and Windows Operating Systems. Expert level of proficiency in MS Office Software 2010 and earlier platforms. Advanced level proficiency in use of creative software such as: Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Final Cut preferable.
Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with participants, public and staff.
Composition skills sufficient to prepare required documentation.

Provide instruction that facilitates customers’ educational, vocational and personal growth.
Provide documentation of customers’ progress and achievement levels and any other paperwork required for program.
Recommend and/or provide appropriate adaptations and/or accommodations to facilitate customers’ achievement of outcomes.
Provide direction, as needed, to Assistant Instructors in planning, utilizing and managing training activities for customers.
Participate in team planning and implementation of education/training program development.
Research, recommend and provide instructional materials that meet individual objectives.
Audio Visual support to other agencies including filming, editing and uploading to social media.
Provide customer service in a manner that results in expressed satisfaction with services received.

Work involves the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and Sundays, as well as traveling between training sites using own vehicle.
Work involves the ability to transport computer equipment and supplies with weights averaging 5 pounds.
