Recent M.S.W. graduate Alice Foster published article in the HPPAE Happenings Newsletter

Alice Foster, a recent M.S.W. graduate and Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education (HPPAE) Scholarship Award Recipient, published an article, Assessments of Older Adults and Their Families, in the HPPAE Happenings Newsletter, Spring/Summer 2012, Volume 4, Issue 1 edition.
The HPPAE program is an innovative program that prepares social workers to specialize in the aging area. Check out her well-written and interesting article on her experience as a social work intern at the JVS/Dorothy & Peter Brown Adult Day Care Program. Alice’s experience included learning the importance of assessment and how to administer various assessment instruments such as the MMSEs and conducting psychosocial assessments. Alice speaks highly of the M.S.W. program and her learning experience; “This journey and being part of HPPAE has broadened my view of life and all of the possibilities, and I am humbled by this experience.”
