How do you celebrate Law Day?
May 1st is Law Day, a time to acknowledge the rule of law and celebrate the American Legal System. Information about its beginnings is available from the Library of Congress’ Law Day commemorative observation guide as well as providing an illustration of legal research in administrative and regulatory documents. The American Bar Association , the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Supreme Court, and the United States District Court have education initiatives with this year’s Law Day theme, Realizing the Dream: Equality for All, recognizing the anniversaries of the Emancipation Proclamation and Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Have A Dream speech. The Reuther Library’s Detroit’s Walk to Freedom describes the Great March on Detroit and the debut of ‘I have a dream…”. Let us know how we can assist you in your celebration of Law Day and develop successful legal research skills that may further the civil and human rights of your future clients.
