Job Title: STUDENT ASSISTANT – IT SUPPORT (On-Campus)
Days/hours & duration of job:
10-15 hours/week, between the hours 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
Students have the opportunity of continuing employment through the summer if they return in the fall.
Employment Start Date: ASAP
This position is responsible for advancing the functionality and operational efficiency of the users and to provide first-tier support for assigned areas. Monitor daily activity, identify potential issues and take appropriate corrective actions. Responsible for installing, administering and managing software applications, and answering phones. Other duties as assigned.
Students have the option of working through the summer by declaring an off-semester if they are coming back in the fall.
Strong background in desktop support, Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, and Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010. Problem solving skills required. Must be able to work in a team environment, prioritize and organize multiple tasks/projects, and be detailed oriented. Advanced verbal and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interface with customers and vendors.
Must be able to pass a background check.
