To some people this is a real issue…just give it some thought

Anyone who hasn’t been in a cave the last couple of months knows what kanye did at the VMAs a couple of months ago. It is a dead issue, what he did was wrong regardless of the reason.

However what I do not like is the continued dragging out of this joke and some of the undertones that myself and others feel is present with some of the public joking that has occurred.  Recently (last week) one such instance occurred and i was left utterly disgusted. Some might say it was just a joke but I personally think that the left that this was taken to is absurd….below are the two videos I am speaking about.

Now I am trying not say what to me is somewhat obvious but I think that considering the context and setting, the demographic, and everything else…I simply say what type of garbage is this? “DON’T LET YOUR BABIES GROW UP TO BE KANYE?

You can be the judge of that.

Recently read an interesting New York Times article. New York Times op-ed columnist NICHOLAS D. KRISTOF wrote an article entitled “More Schools, Not Troops“.

In it he writes,

“Dispatching more troops to Afghanistan would be a monumental bet and probably a bad one, most likely a waste of lives and resources that might simply empower the Taliban. In particular, one of the most compelling arguments against more troops rests on this stunning trade-off: For the cost of a single additional soldier stationed in Afghanistan for one year, we could build roughly 20 schools there.”
