Job Title: Youth Advocacy Coordinator

Hours: 8 hours per day/ M-F

Available: ASAP

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education and/or Youth Development related major preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate Homeless Student Assistance Program (McKinney-Vento Act)
  • Coordinate Title I Homeless Student Program
  • Coordinate Health Youth Program including the peer leadership component
  • Collaborate with community partners to improve access to community resources for MPS youth
  • Maintain reporting requirements per grant mandates
  • Document systems, processes, procedures and inventory
  • Supervise program staff and youth advocates
  • Collaborate with marketing contractor to promote programs and district’s community presence
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with youth in both community and school settings
  • Experience and proficiency with information systems including Microsoft Office products and Google applications
  • Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and intrapersonal
  • Strong organizational skills
