Internship Alert: Wayne State University Communications Student

Position Information

Up to 20 hours/week, between 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday, flexible
2017 Spring semester
Assist the Project Management Office (PMO) with supporting PMO activities to include developing communication materials and methods to engage target/stakeholder audiences, benchmarking, survey design, and report analysis and development. Work under the guidance of and in close association with the Sr. Director and partner with work group project leads to advance the project goals. Facilitate focus group sessions. Create and maintain project documentation, plans and reports. Handling scheduling logistics. Attend meetings, follows-up and ensures proper dissemination of materials. Other related duties as required.

Must be a Graduate level student pursuing Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field with a 3.0 GPA. Strong written & oral communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize work. Experience in writing reports/newsletters, preparing promotional materials and facilitating focus group sessions. Strong computer literacy (Internet, E-mail, SPSS, Microsoft Office Applications, Databases & Adobe Photoshop). Ability to problem solve and organize with attention to detail. Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Professional office etiquette. Strong people skills; approachable demeanor.
