Diversity Lecture to focus on Cultural Competence with LGBTQI Populations

March is Social Work Month!! As part of the celebration, our Annual Dean’s Diversity Lecture is scheduled for March 21, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the Spencer Partrich Law School Auditorium on the Wayne State University Campus.

This year’s topic is Cultural Competence with LGBTQI populations and will feature a keynote speaker; Lori Messinger , M.A., M.S.W., Ph.D., Professor and Director, School of Social Work, College of Health and Human Services, University of North Carolina, Wilmington. There will be a book signing of the book she co-authored with Deana Morrow, Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression in Social Work Practice: Working With Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, And Transgender People, Columbia University Press, Jan 16, 2006.

Lecture is free and open to the public.  Two CECHs available with a $10.00 processing fee payable at the lecture. No RSVP or prepayment.
