Are You a Returning OIF/OEF Veteran?

The Wayne State University School of Social Work is conducting a study that uses group counseling techniques for helping veterans decide if they want to engage in counseling for post-deployment stress problems.

Using Motivational Enhancement among Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF/OEF) Veteran’s Returning to the Community Study is sponsored by the Department of Defense’s Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC).
To complete the screening questionnaire you must have served in one or both OIF/OEF and live in Wayne County.
• Screening for the study takes 15 minutes. If eligible for participation, time will vary up to six weeks with a three month follow up.
• Possible benefits of the study include increased knowledge about problems for returning veterans. Findings from the study could better inform efforts to help future returning veterans.
• Small incentives are provided for completing the screening paper work, with additional incentives provided if eligible.
